Reaction: This was expected, but its a franchise changing move for the Jaguars.
Lawrence will be an instant Top-12 fantasy quarterback, with the upside of being a top-5 guy for his entire career.
Pick #2: New York Jets select….
Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU
Reaction: I’m still not a fan of the player, and I have my concerns. But from a fantasy standpoint, his ceiling is incredible.
He has little upside for 2021, because we need the Jets to add more weapons to the offense.
Pick #3: San Francisco 49ers select….
Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State
Reaction: My QB3 in this class, Lance has one of the highest ceilings in this class. I see Josh Allen when he plays.
Now we get to see him in one of the best offenses in the league. Depending on what the team does with Garoppolo will determine his 2021 success.
Pick #4: Atlanta Falcons select….
Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida
Reaction: An instant top-5 tight end for fantasy. A no brainer move for the Falcons, and now a top weapon instantly.
Pick #5: Cincinnati Bengals select….
Ja’Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU
Reaction: The media is gonna hate this pick, but it was the right move for the Bengals. For fantasy, this helps the whole offense. Joe Burrow should see more improvement. Maybe this hurts Tee Higgins upside, but nothing else should be hurt from this.
Pick #6: Miami Dolphins select….
Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama
Reaction: Reuniting Waddle with Tua, this makes the Dolphins offense very interesting. For Waddle, I need to see how they use him in 2020. Will he be more from the slot, or will he be used outside?
Pick 7: Detroit Lions select….
Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon
Pick 8: Carolina Panthers select….
Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina
